This has definitely made it to the list of my favorite places! Watching the sunrise at Srah Srang (still at Siem Reap) and how the color palette transform from cool to warm was like magic for me...

This was a nearby temple lit by the beautiful morning sun!

In Awe of Angkor Wat

Next up, Siem Reap! Located in northwestern Cambodia, this is the gateway to the Angkor region. After checking in at the Angkor Village Hotel, our first stop? Angkor Wat! I instantly fell in love with the energy of this place, the people and well, practically everything I saw! We enjoyed the sunset and then came back for more at sunrise. My sister & I are not really considered early morning people but Siem Reap has proven otherwise. Our driver, Sithol, would pick us up at 5:15am (FIVE-ONE-FIVE he'd say repeatedly) to make it to sunrise and then venture off to a full day of visiting amazing sights...

This was the shooting gallery at sunrise... wonder how many shots were taken that morning alone?!

I was very fortunate to end and start my year traveling around Asia. Visited the Philippines, Vietnam, Cambodia & Thailand! It was wonderful to photograph and share this experience with my not-so-little sister (who btw, is an amazing photo travel buddy!). We truly enjoyed the culture, the food, the people ... Each country is different, each story is different.

my favorite 4-year old

Nikolaki (little Nikos) is now Nikos... he doesn't want to be called little anymore! That's my favorite 4-year old. I love listening to him sing (he composes songs on the spot!), I love watching him play ... and most of all, I love his sweet, sweet hugs.

Oh how much she's grown! Last we photographed her, she was 2 weeks old. Little Olivia is now 4 months and growing more adorable each day. The minute I walked in, she flashed her little smile and captivated us with her cuddly cuteness...

We've watched this little one grow! Photographed her at 3 months, at 7 months, at 1 year and now Elise is 18 months old! Time flies and we were happy to be there to document all these... now she's running around the beach, so independent and as adorable as ever...

Love this time of the year! 'Tis the season we spend with family & loved ones - giving, sharing and appreciating. It is also a time of amazing sunsets in our neck of the woods! Beautiful sunsets make for beautiful portraits...

I very much enjoyed photographing this bunch- cousins got to spend the holidays together. Reminds me of how wonderful it is to appreciate life's simple pleasures and just be.
